Part 1: Becoming a Soul Reaper
The first thing to do when spawning into the game as a human is to find Urahara shop. You can locate Urahara by using your Soul Wayfinder or by using a Bus Station. After you find him and talk to him it will say ”I want to become a soul Reaper”.
Part 2: Soul Reaper Progression Begins
After becoming a soul reaper, all you have to focus on now is leveling up and increasing your stats. There's several ways you can go about doing this.
1. Head to the gym and pay the gym owner a fee of 50 yen for entry. (Recommend doing some jobs for money first.) From there you can use the training machines found in the dojo to start increasing your stats.
2. You can take on jobs from the Job Billboard. They'll grant you experience so that you can level up. You can also get stat increases upon completing jobs if you talk to Herupa and pay her to boost your chosen stat whenever you complete a job.
3. For the sake of grinding levels, you could take the bandit beater route and just kill things for experience, ignoring the Job Billboard. (not really efficient)
When increasing your stats you will have to limit break at several points of your progression. Limit-breaking requires you to max out 3 areas of your stats for each rank ranging from Rank F to S+.
- Combat Stats
- Reiatsu
- Agility
Once you max out these 3 areas of your stats, you'll need to gain limit break experience in order to ascend to your next Rank. This can be done by talking to NPCs you haven't spoken to before, taking on jobs, or just slaying enemies.
Part 3: Obtaining Shikai
Upon reaching level 15 you are able to unlock your Shikai. To begin the process of unlocking your shikai, go ahead and press the N key to begin meditating. Upon meditating, you will become a soul that is bound to its body by a chain. While in this state, you must collect 160 orbs. Every once in a while, while collect orbs you will receive a quest from your Inner Spirit to prove yourself. This includes:
- "Defeat one who opposes you." - Defeat a Rogue Soul Reaper. These Enemies are found in the outskirts of Soul Society.
- "Break the barrier and Slay a powerful Hollow." - Defeat any Menos class hollow
- (These can be found in Karakura town and Hueco Mundo. It's recommended to hunt them in Hueco Mundo because of a better spawn rate for them. Talk to Gargan for transport to Hueco Mundo or ask a Hollow/Arrancar player to open a garganta to Hueco Mundo.)
- "Bring me the head of a civilized enemy." - Defeat a Soul Society Guard.
- (They spawn at the gates and can be found within the Soul Society.)
- You can also defeat a rogue shinigami that spawn in the small villages out on the outskirts of Soul Society. This is recommended if you don't want to lose reputation.
When your meditation and questing is complete, a message will pop up on your screen telling you that you're ready. Press the N key again and you will be teleported to your Shikai's dimension. Your next task is to fight your Shikai. It's recommended that you prepare for this fight since it could prove a little difficult. Your shikai spirit uses your shikai skills and your currently equipped abilities for the fight.
Upon defeating your Shikai, you can press the G key to activate it after filling up the bar on the left to at least 20%. You can use the transformation infinitely after reaching rank B and the bar passively drains when you are outside of combat and you'll be able to activate your shikai at 0% on your bar.
Part 4: The Progression Continues
Start grinding invasions or time gates in order to level up your stats and gain levels once you get your Shikai. It's recommended to start running invasions now at this point since they give you good experience, drops and are good for increasing your stats.
Part 5: Obtaining Bankai
In order to begin working towards your Bankai you must meet the following requirements:
- Obtain your Shikai.
- Reach level 85.
- Acquire 420 points from the following:
- Successfully completing a Time Gate gives 75 points.
- If you lose in a Time Gate, you only get 25 points.
- Time Bubbles(Bosses) gives 1 point per% of bosses hp dealt. (NOT RECOMMENDED)
- Each Storm Vastocar kill gives 10 points if you did 20% of the damage or more.
- Invasions give points only if you are above level 80.
- 5 Points for "Steal an Object"
- 12 for "Slaughter Guards"
- 22 for "Kill a Leader".
- Each enemy grip you get during an Incursion rewards you with 6 Points.
After fulfilling all requirements you need to press the N key and after meditating you talk to your Inner Spirit. Then you have to fight and defeat them.
Phase 1:
Upon initiating the fight, you will have your sword taken away and different swords will start falling from the sky. In an attempt to find your real sword, you must break 7 fake swords before finding the real one. This is done by picking up a random sword and dealing damage to your inner spirit until it breaks. After which Phase 2 of the fight will begin.
Phase 2:
Phase two is an all out battle between you and your Inner Spirit in which they activate Bankai. Beware that this may be the hardest battle you've ever fought. Your Inner Spirit will utilize your shikai skills and even your bankai skill, as well as skills you have equipped. It's recommended to be S- Rank when you do this so you get a checkpoint for this phase so you don't have to do Phase 1 again.
Part 6: Vizard
After mastering your Bankai, you'll need an Impure Hogyoku (Aquired by Time Remnants) to turn yourself into a Vizard, which gives an additional damage buff while masked.
To increase your mastery on your Vizard, you'll need to duel Raian Hirako or by using the Vizard Mask extensively.
Part 7: Vastorage
You'll need 2 more impure hogyoku for Vasto-Rage, a final last resort that automatically activates when you're on low heath, and essentially makes you a discount Vasto Lorde for up to 2 minutes.
After you use 2 Impure Hogyokus (In total) you will need to kill 25-50 Vasto Lordes with your mask on, which can be found in The Gourge
After you kill 25-50 Vasto Lordes, talk to Ranburā.
If you get the dialogue option "Him?" don't click it and read what he says instead, if you don't get it then end dialogue and talk to him again, he will tell you a name (you should write it down or screenshot it).
Now you have to find a Vasto Lorde with the name he has given you (it's a random spawn but there's a higher chance a Vasto Lorde with that name spawns in your server)
Grip the Vasto Lorde WHILE YOUR VIZARD MASK IS ON with the name Ranburā gave you. (It will show a red text saying "Something doesn't feel right..." once you unlock Vastorage.)
Impure Hogyokus are 0.1% drops.
To use Impure Hogyokus you'll need to be level 165.
